Happy Spring everyone! The sun is just about ready to shine regularly and everyone is ready to get outdoors!  There are so many fun & unique events happening in Austin and surrounding cities over the next three months, that I couldn't wait to tell you all about.

Pictures in the Bluebonnets - Hands down, number one must do in the Spring - Click here to find a gorgeous patch of flowers and take a few shots. It's a family tradition! anytime

Strawberry Picking at Sweet Berry Farms - Opening day is March 5 and strawberry picking lasts through May.  This was one of my kids favorite activities last spring! Learn more about it hereanytime (except Wednesdays)

Gospel Brunch -  I have always wanted to take part in the Gospel Brunches at Stubbs BBQ - great music, great food - loads of fun to spend a Sunday morning! Sundays

WWII Re-enactments - Just a short drive out to Fredericksburg to see one of the best WWII museums west of the Mississippi - the National Museum of the Pacific War  If you time it just right, you can see a pretty amazing Pacific War re-enactment that left my kids speechless.  March 9 & 10, 2013

Drive in Movies -  Did you know we have a Drive-in Theatre here in the ATX?   The Blue Star Lite Drive In has some family friendly movies this spring.  Go show the kiddos how we used to watch movies when we were kids! selected dates

Woodland Faerie Trail - The Zilker Botanical Gardens have been invaded by faeries this Spring and your invited to see their homes & gardens.  Events such as a home tour, tea parties, flashlight trail tours, and more are fun for all ages!  I even want to go! March 11 - May 11, 2013

St. Patrick's Day Festival in Austin - Billed as the "largest St. Patrick's Day Event in Central Texas", this festival includes local Celtic bands, Irish dancers, food, and all things to make your St. Paddy's day FUN! Sunday, March 17, 2013

Free Guided Walking Tour of Downtown Austin - I've always bustled down Congress Ave to get to my destination, never paying mind to the building that line the street.  But ever since I took the free walking tour with a City Expert, I take a closer look and appreciate the history.  It was such a great tour, that I'd love to take it again! Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, & Sundays

HONK! TX - Have you heard of HONK! TX yet? It's a Festival of Community Street bands with a weekend full of Brass Band performances and parade all for FREE!  Sounds fun! March 22 - 24, 2013

Play a Round of Old-School Mini-Golf Peter Pan Mini Golf takes you back in time with it's whimsical 18-hole golf courses (two of them!).  There's not to many of them around the Austin area, so this is a fun treat for the kiddos - especially those who have never played mini-golf! anytime

Round Rock Express Game - So many fun things going on up at the Dell Diamond from Kids Days (Sundays) to Dollar Dog Night (Tuesdays) to Fireworks Fridays. Check out their Full schedule seen here April 4 - September 2, 2013

Hans Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid - Every performance I have been to at the ZACH Theatre is delightful and I have no doubt that LIttle Mermaid will be no different.  For ages 7 and up, performances are twice daily on Saturdays.  April 6 - May 11, 2013

Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam - Get out and enjoy a day of celebrity softball and concerts from tons of great artists at the Dell Diamond.  Benefiting the Reckless Kelly Charitable Youth Foundation.  April 14, 2013

Stargazing Parties -  The Spring is a perfect time to get outdoors and observe the celestial skies!  And the Austin Astronomical Society offers events each month to look at the stars (Public Star Parties) and the moon (Moonlighting Parties).  Make reservations, as these parties fill up quickly! Think.Do.Make - A new exhibit just opened at the Austin Children's Museum and will be the last new one until the move to the new location this summer.  Think.Do.Make. mixes science, art, & engineering by challenging museum-goers to design and build challenges! anytime

Round Rock's Centennial Celebration - The City of Round Rock turns 100 and are throwing a BIG party to celebrate! A Street Party, Concert, and Custom Car show are just a few of the fun things to do. April 27, 2013

Eeyores Birthday Party - This annual event is celebrating it's 50th Birthday Party this year.  Everyone is invited to wear a costume, dance around the Maypole and help raise money for non-profit groups in Austin.  Children events until 4 pm.  April 27, 2013

Red Poppy Festival - The 14th annual Georgetown festival lasts all weekend long and features a 5K, arts & crafts, shopping, great food, bands, and so much more! April 27 - 28, 2013

Pecan Street Festival - Love Austin Love Art is what the annual event is all about.  With over 275 artisans and vendors, the festival is great for families.  Lots of performances, live music, food, and workshops.  May 4 - 5, 2013

Number 25.....Do you really need me to tell you to GET OUTSIDE and enjoy this gorgeous Spring weather before it gets too hot??  Take a hike up Mt. Bonnell, try your hand at Geocaching, head out to Enchanted Rock, or just enjoy one of many great trails or parks in the area. anytime
