Anything but.
But ask any former Baylor student where to get the best shake in Waco and they will tell you it's gotta be from Health Camp.
Located on Waco's famous traffic circle right off IH-35, Health Camp is a great stop for a fun ice cream treat after a full day of Waco fun. Or, just while passing through on your way to Dallas. Or home from Dallas. Take your pick. My family needs no reason to stop and for a Health Camp Peanut Butter Shake.
Family owned and operated, you fell the history walking through the doors, having been a part of the Waco culture since 1949. It is so absolutely charming. The menu boasts good, old-fashioned burgers, fries and shakes. Ahh, the shakes - that's what we stop for. And how do you choose when the menu looks like this?
The boys go for an old fashioned vanilla (boo). My girl loves her chocolate (ho-hum). And I think I already mentioned my favorite - Chocolate & Peanut Butter - so thick, you have to eat it with a spoon!
Next time your in Waco visiting the Cameron Zoo or the Mayborn Museum, make sure you get your family a little treat from the Health Camp!

We were in Waco on Monday moving The Girl back to Austin for the summer and I thought about going there for a second, but we had soooo much to do to get her all moved out. Maybe on the return trip in August...
That name cracks me up!
LOVE the name of that place. The obvious choice here though is the Smores shake. I don't know how you can't see that!
