Ahh..... fall has arrived.  And while that may mean our temperatures are still hot, there is plenty of Fall Fun available in Central Texas.  We've complied a list of 25 Fun Things to Do This Fall in Central Texas.  So start planning!

Get Outdoors!
- Watch the Bats emerge nightly until mid-October from underneath Congress Ave. Bridge or the I-35 bridge at  McNeil in Round Rock.
- Take a train ride with the kiddos: a miniature one on the Cedar Rock Railroad, Zilker Zephyr, Austin Zoo, or ride the real thing with the Austin Steam Train Association.
- The weather is perfect for a 360 degree view of Austin at the top of Mt. Bonnell.
- Fall is the perfect time to learn how to go Geocaching. There are TONS of caches available all over Central Texas to find.
- It's cooler out. I've been telling you for months to plan this one - Go hike Enchanted Rock!
- Leisurely canoe around Town Lake.
- Find the Round Rock in Round Rock.
- Test your wits on the new 60 foot Canopy Challenge & Zipline at Natural Bridge Caverns

Fun Stuff Happening Inside Too!
- Take the family to The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum on the first Saturday of the month with FREE admission between 2-6 p.m.
- Find the whispering gallery at the Texas State Capitol.
- Enjoy 15 new exhibit experiences at Austin Children's Museum's new Sit & Span exhibit.  Make new connections between the physics of rotational motion and the engineering challenges of building strong bridges.
- Quote-a-longs, sing-a-longs, and just regular old movies - all a fun experience at the Alamo Draft House
- Getting ready for Formula One in November?  Test your ability to race at K1 Speed, Austin's premier indoor karting experience.

So Much Good Food, So Little Time!
- Enjoy a burger under the shade trees while the kiddos play at Waterloo Ice House.
- Take a leisurely drive into the country and stop for some amazing BBQ at the Salt Lick.
- There are tons of great Food Trailers popping up all over Austin.  Check out the newest park, the Round Rock Food Trailer Park's Grand Opening Event, October 5th-7th.  Located on Mays Ave., just north of downtown Round Rock.
- Stand in line for a dozen of the World Famous Round Rock Donuts at Lone Star Bakery.
- Have some schnitzel with your Spaten Oktoberfest at Walburg's gorgeous Biergarten.  They have some pretty great music too.

BOO! It's Halloween Season!
- Did you hear that Austin is haunted?  Why not take a walking Austin Ghost Tour and find out for yourself!
- Spend a day with the family at one of many of Central Texas's Pumpkin Patches.  See if you can walk through the Texas Animals themed corn stalk maze at Sweetberry Farm in Marble Falls.  Frontier games, corn mazes, bands, and more weekends at Barton Hills Farm in Bastrop, TX. Enjoy a scenic hay ride and petting zoo at the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm in Elgin, TX.
- See the animals in a completely different way - at night at the Austin Zoo's Boo at the Zoo.  I hear there  is a pretty fun train ride too!
-Take a walk down Tablerock Trail's Halloween Fright Trail in Salado October 27-28. Scenes from chosen classical tales of terror and Grimm's Fairy Tales will be reenacted for both the young and the young at heart.
- Take in some "Halloween" culture at the Austin Symphony's Halloween Children's Concert, Sunday October 28.

Experience the Culture!
- Chicken Dance down Main Street at Oktoberfest in Fredricksburg, TX - October 5th - 7th, 2012
- Enjoy the best sausage in Texas at this year's 52nd Annual WurstFest in New Braunfels, TX - November 2nd - 11th, 2012
-Visit the nation's largest Renaissance Fair thought out the 8 weekends this fall. The Texas Renaissance Festival in Plantersville, TX has 8 themed weekends to choose from - October 6th - November 25th.
