The Cedar Rock Railroad depot is tucked away in the woods on the backside of the park (just follow the signs). Tickets are $2.50 a person for the beautiful & scenic 1.3 mile ride.
Just loading up fills every little one with anticipation. We just love the "chugging" sounds and the whistle before she takes off.
"Sophie" is a quarter-scale, fully electric locomotive that can go up to 8.5 miles per hour. She was brought to Central Texas by Texas Bells & Whistles, who operates her every weekend. The story of how she made it the park is a labor of love - the track was built by hand by her owners!!The ride is a pretty one that winds past tennis courts, soccer fields, a pond, and trails that occupy the park. It also pops in and out of shady groves and even chugs through a tunnel!!
The train runs on Saturdays and Sundays year round, weather permitting. It is the perfect fall activity - take a picnic lunch to the park and enjoy a ride on the Cedar Rock Railroad!
During the summer, spend some time at the Quarry Splash Pad.

I spent a whole week at that depot which acted as the Tot Spot for Cub Scout camp and I was a counselor. On the last day, we finally got to ride the train. So much fun!
My son would love it here
