Austin Photo Scavenger Hunt Winners!

Last month, we issued a challenge to the fine folks of Central Texas - find & take photos of ten unique murals here in Austin.  Austin is home to hundreds of murals and our family just love to find them.  They are all so unique and colorful and fun and free to see. And we knew y'all would love finding them too!
And you guys delivered!! With 279 entries, I'd say that Austin is pretty proud of their murals!  And we had so many "extra" entries as well!! There are so many more that we need to go out and find!

Photo Friday: What's a 10 Year Old's Favorite Part of Vacations?

We traveled over 2500 miles by minivan, crossed the Mississippi River 9 times (don't ask), and took over 5000 photos over the past 5 weeks.

This by far is my favorite.

No matter how many amazing sites you see, no matter how many historical places you visit......Nothing beats a cool dip in the pool to a 10 year old.

Photo Friday: The Best Part of Disney

Ending a fun week of Christmas at Disney posts, I am sharing my favorite picture of the trip.
Not the kids being cheesy with Mickey....

Not the posed smiles in front of Cinderella's castle.....

Not even the pic of the pouting 7-year old (yep, I have that one.....I think he wanted to ride Space Mountain for the 11th time....)

It is a picture of what the trip represents for us - amazing time with each other.

Dad & Sis were excitedly chatting about the day and I caught it.

Surefire Smile

My 8 year old is a little bit of a sourpuss when it comes to taking his picture.  Might have something to do with the fact that he grew up with a lens in his face?  Sigh.....

But when he hit the beach this summer, this kid couldn't stop smiling.  And lucky for this mom, I caught every single one of them.
