Rock'N Lights ~ Round Rock, TX

Who's ready for a drive thru light show in Round Rock???  We are! We are!!

Starting Sunday, December 2, 2012, Rock'N Lights will illuminate Old Settler's Park in Round Rock, TX nightly.  This drive thru light display & holiday village will feature over 2 million lights stretched out over a 1 1/2 mile path. Car-loads will drive along the path, enjoy the marvelous light display and end up at the Holiday Village set up at the Dell Diamond parking lot.  The Holiday Village will feature rides, displays, performers, food and vendors.

We can't wait to drive through Rock'N Lights as we had the privilege of driving through a similar display 5 years ago - Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie, TX.  In fact, Rock'N Lights is modeled after this very display - one my kids still talk about to this day.  Look at the video we shot here - if that doesn't get you excited for Rock'N Lights, I don't know what will:

The Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department planned and developed this event, based on the high numbers of participants that come to Christmas Family Night in Downtown Round Rock each year.  As a Round Rock resident, I couldn't be more excited to see more & more fun family events planned each year.

As a special treat, you have a one-time chance to see the display on foot.  On Sunday, December 1, the third Annual Reindeer Run 5k and Family Fun Run will go through the holiday lights trail.  This will be the only opportunity to walk/run through the light-up path.  Proceeds of the run benefit the maintenance and expansion of the Round Rock Play for All Abilities Park.   It's going to be a cool run!!
