Omni Kid's Fantasy Suite ~ Omni San Antonio at the Colonnade

Over the holidays, the kids and I did some exploring.  And one of the places we were privileged to go to was one of the most Kid-friendly Hotels in San Antonio.  The Omni Kid's Fantasy Suite has to be the best hotel room for kids in San Antonio.
Omni Hotels does an excellent job of catering to it's youngest client, the kiddos, with it's Omni Sensational Kids program.  Upon check-in, all guests with children receive a complimentary bag with fun trinkets (hacky sack, mini-frisbee, crayons, snack, etc.) making them feel like they are the VIP of the hotel.  In addition, families can check out a rolling backpack filled with card games, age-appropriate books, and an Etch-a-Sketch to take to their rooms, an awesome idea to keep your kids entertained during the stay. (available at most Omni Hotels nationwide)
The Omni San Antonio at the Colonnade takes it a step further by offering a Kid's Fantasy Suite.  This, my friends, is one of the reasons my kids love to travel with me - amazing experiences like this!  And after checking in to our suite, my kids didn't want to leave!

"Can we just order room service all weekend long, Mom?"

uh....no.
The Kid's Fantasy Suite is like stepping into an amazing bedroom with all new toys and gadgets to play with - what kid wouldn't be in heaven here? Just look at this amazing chalk wall - we walked in with this fab greeting that we couldn't erase.  I came home an immediately googled "how to make a chalk board wall."

First off, the suite is decorated in such a unique way - bedding for both a boy and a girl, book-shelves filled with books for all ages, and this amazing hat collection on the wall.
We got plenty of exercise in with our own basketball court and hop-scotch rug.
But was fascinated my kids the most?  Two....yes TWO....televisions.  With both a X-Box 360 with Kinect and a Nintendo Wii, both of my olders could play a different game at the same time.  Genius! There was absolutely no fighting.  Need to figure this one out at home.......
The decor doesn't stop there. The bathroom had an amazing aquatic theme.  Right thru the door is the parents room, nicely decorated, giving the frazzled-traveler a calm serenity.  And because I had a third child, a kid's bed was made up in the attached suite for us.

And if the decor and amenities were not enough, Omni Hotels goes the extra mile to make your stay amazing.  We received a phone call before we came verifying my children's names and ages and even asked us their likes (chocolate or vanilla?).  We received milk & cookies at turndown on our arrival night and had a fun party in our suite.....
The Omni San Antonio at the Colonnade is a beautiful facility as well.  This 20-story high rise is just minutes away from Downtown & the River Walk as well as SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.  We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet each morning at Bolo's Rotisserie Grille, where the wait staff went out of their way to make the kids waffles or pancakes when they were not on the buffet.

During the summer, the Omni San Antonio at the Colonnade has even more fun for the kids, with float-in movies in the pool and theme character visits at breakfast on Saturdays.
This is the hotel your kids look forward to going to.  This is the hotel your kids don't want to leave (which can get to be comical if they start choosing the hotel room over SeaWorld).  This is the hotel you can fully relax at and sleep like a baby.

Can't say that about many hotels now, can we?

I would love to surprise my kids with a little stay there, but it doesn't appear that you can see pricing and availability online. Kind of a bummer.
