Happy Friday friends! Time for Friday Daydreamin'!
Join us each Friday by linking up your favorite travel post of the week and I will do my best to see them all over the weekend. I hope you will take a few minutes and visit some of the link ups too.
I love this link-up party because I get to learn & see so much travel through the eyes of all my fellow travel bloggers. I have learned so many amazing things and seen some gorgeous pictures thanks to y'all sharing your travels here. I hope you continue to do so.
I have spent all my free time (what's that??) this week on planning our upcoming summer road trip. So today, I am most definitely day dreaming about our 3 week trip thru New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado. We are stopping at National Parks, kitchy roadside attractions, fun restaurants, going to "CarsLand" - (my 4 year old's pic) and making one amazing memory!!! I can't wait to tell y'all more about it.
In the meantime, pop me a comment and tell me where your favorite road trip was to. Then link up your favorite travel post below!!

My fave road trip has been from Brisbane to Melbourne. Heaps of odd roadside attractions there as well: the Big Banana, Big Merino, all kinds of 'big' stuff. Could be forgiven for thinking one was in Texas :)
Your upcoming one sounds fabulous. I did a road trip from San Francisco to Oklahoma City once, only the one I was with at the time, was in such a hurry, we skipped way too much. Should take another road trip in southwest USA on my own.
Yay for an epic road trip this summer! Looking forward to see what you guys will be seeing. Most of all, looking forward to meeting you and the family :)
That sounds like an awesome road trip, Becca! When y'all going to road trip to Canada? ;)
We're also in the middle of planning our summer road trip - the first one for the kids! We've cut our super road trip in half since we only have two weeks so we're Washington, Oregon, and Northern California only. Next year I'm hoping for Arizona, New Mexico, and (wait for it) Texas - as long as we can get there before it gets too hot!
Can't wait to read about your road trip! I think my favorite road trip was when my husband and I took the kids to Washington D.C., Assateague Island National Seashore, Colonial Williamsburg, Richmond, Virginia and on to Monticello, the home of President Thomas Jefferson. It was such a great trip that it's been hard for us to top.
This week I linked up one of the fun roadside attractions I stopped at on a recent road trip.
I did a Houston to Los Angeles road trip when I was a kid and still have wonderful memories. One day, I hope to do it with my own chilrend. Your trip sounds like you're definitely covering a lot of ground.
A 3 week road trip! Oh my! Sounds like tons of fun.
Out of all the places you've mentioned I've only been to California so I'm looking forward to reading about the rest.
Sounds like a great road trip you have planned. Honestly, I haven't really had a great road trip with my kids yet. We only got a car when my daughter was born 7 months ago and road trips with a new born and snow just aren't fun. We did recently drive back home from Prague through southern Germany and that was really nice. Oh, and when my parents visited a few years ago when my son was 1, we drove to Switzerland. My favorite road trips, though, happened before I had kids and one was the East coast of the US (FL to RI, which I'll do part of again with my kids in a few months) and Detroit to Niagara Falls. It was just a day, but I loved it. I love road trips with lots of stops and picnics. And with your road trip, all those national parks in the states you'll be in. Sounds... well, I wish we could join you!
So hard to pick a favorite road trip. But your route is definitely has a ton of our favorite places. We are also planning another 3 week road trip starting at the end of July and may also have a 12 day trip either the end of June or mid July. Still haven't picked routes yet though. Lol. You will have a blast!!
Your road trip sounds amazing! I can't wait to follow along. One of my most memorable road trips was driving all the way across the country (U.S.) to move to the Seattle. I drove from Hilton Head, SC to Seattle in just under a week camping along the way...wonderful way to see the country, but WAY too short! We can't wait until Bergen is a little older--a Utah road trip is big on the list.
We took a road trip to Yellowstone this past summer. I think I linked it up before. Anyway, it was awesome! Hope you have a great time!
Your kids look so happy in that shot.
My favorite road trip here in Korea is to hop on the bus and go to the beach. It's about a 2 hour trip.
Things are close enough in the northeast that we don't roadtrip in quite the same way you do out there. But we did enjoy working our way up the coast last summer from NYC to Mystic, CT to Newport, RI to Cape Cod. I ate seafood every day for a week!
