Katherine Fleischer Park ~ #101PreschoolDates

I have 10 weeks left with my 4 year old until the big kids come home for the summer.  And you know what happened next fall? My baby goes to kindergarten.  So in an effort to make some memories with him, I am instituting #101PreschoolDates  Follow along as we count down this list and find some really cool places in the Austin area to take your preschoolers!

This week, my guy and I tried out a new park we had been wanting to visit for a LONG time. Have you been to the Katherine Fleischer Park in North Austin??  Maybe you recognize it by this incredible playhouse?

This park is away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets and tucked away in a neighborhood off of Wells Branch Parkway.  Behind a community center, the playhouse is what catches your eye.  It's three stories with stairs that go all the way to the top.  My little guy loved playing in it and found a few friends to pal around with, as this is a very popular park.

The park also has several great climbing structures and plays capes for all sizes.  The ones for the smaller kiddos is in the shade too.  It also has a great, long row of swings - ones for babies and ones for big kids - so much to do here.

My little man really like the "big kid" bars that were just his size.  He tried over and over and over to get across these monkey bars.

I really liked the variety of areas to play at this park.  We were there for a good 2 hours and we never go bored.  It helped that is was a gorgeous day out too though.

The park had several areas to eat lunch at and bathrooms close by.

It was Earth Day too, so we spent a few minutes just running and spinning in this grassy field nearby. I love this new park - makes us want to discover more fun parks in the area too!

The quiet time we spent together made me realize how important these dates were going to be.  Can't wait to see where the next few months take us!  Follow along on our social media channels with the #101Preschool Dates.
