Happy Friday!! In less than a week, we will all be getting our thankful on! WOO-HOO!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays - family, food, fun, no obligations..... I love it!
Do you travel for Thanksgiving? For us, it depends on the year - We don't have any definite "Thanksgiving Day" traditions, but we do spend it with family.
Last year, we traveled to a Ranch in Southeastern Oklahoma - It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL - not at all what I expected Oklahoma to look like. We stayed in a wonderful cabin, by a lake and woke up to this view every morning:
We are heading there again this year and I can't wait to get back!!
Do you travel for Thanksgiving? Tell us about your travels this week on "Friday Daydreaming". Or tell us about your favorite vacation ever. Or tell us about the great park down the street that makes you & your kids feel like you are on vacation. Or tell us about that amazing slice of pie you had on last summer's road trip. So many great topics to blog about - make sure you link up!!

That's such a cool idea, putting a gazebo in the middle of the river. Looks like a beautiful place to spend your Thanksgiving. Enjoy!
That is an amazing view! We used to travel to Chicago a lot- but now that there are so many of us we just have Chicago-i.e. my parents come to us.
Looks beautiful! I lived in Oklahoma for uni, but didn't see much of the southeastern part, I'm afraid. Have to take a closer look when I go back (probably next year). Where is this?
You know I'm partial to that beautiful vacay spot. I'm glad you're going back. What's not to love about Oklahoma? ;)
You're right - that's not at all what I expect Oklahoma to look like!
I never expected Oklahoma to have woodsy spots like that either - it's beautiful! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Wow looks like a great place to vacation! Not what I think of when I think Oklahoma.....definitely not.
Beautiful!
We either enjoy an Orphan's Thanksgiving with friends who are also not traveling to visit family or we just head out of the country for the week or two around Thanksgiving. I always prefer to go away of course. Going international helps you avoid all of the US air traffic chaos and rates can be pretty cheap cause it's the low season in places like Europe. Last year we were in China. This year we are at home since we just got back from Hawaii (def cheaper NOT to go to Hawaii over thanksgiving)
The last few years I've enjoyed Thanksgiving with Match's parents. But I used to fly up to Portland and spend it with my aunts and uncles. I really miss that. This year I'm alone on Thanksgiving day :-( but we're celebrating that Saturday at our new place!
Wow, Oklahoma is GORGEOUS. I wouldn't expect OK to look like that either. Makes me want to go visit our girl Impulsive Addict!
What a great setting, a gazebo on the river and a cabin on a lake. More what I would expect in the Ozarks or Smokies not in SE oklahoma.
What a beautiful place to spend the Holiday!
I've really missed fall and the changing colors after four years in San Francisco, where the weather stays the same 12 months out of the year. Really looking forward to living in the South full time and having actual seasons!
